About Me
Luís Alves Luís Alves is 41 years old, is from Porto. Agronomist, fish processing and preservation Agriculture Biological technician, was in overall charge of the Serralves Park between 1997 and 2002. In 2002 he founded, with Jorge Sá, the Corner of Aromatic, unique project of its kind in Western Europe of urban farming. Over the past 11 years is a farmer and nurseryman, producing in organic farming herbs, medicinal, culinary and spontaneous autochthonous flora. He has taught several courses in gardening and green spaces, aromatic and medicinal plants, organic farming, fish processing and preservation and was guest speaker at various conferences on topics. Edited a DVD with interactive course of PAM. Was awarded the 1st Prize "Farmer sobresaliente activities innovadoras en 2008." Was a finalist in the New North Awards 2011 in the category North Entrepreneur. Won the 1st Prize for Innovation for Sustainability (EBAEpis) - European Business Awards for the Environment 2011, the Process category.
