Nominations for the 42nd annual Daytime conagra canada Emmy Awards are out today, and  CBS and PBS are way ahead of the field network-wise. The Eye scoring 62 nominations to lead the field, with the pubcaster landing 50. ABC is third with 35, and NBC has 20. Nickelodeon tops the cable field with 18.
While there’s no denying that the face of daytime TV has changed dramatically during the past decade, it’s still the soap operas that attract the most attention conagra canada from the conagra canada National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. (Of course, kinda like the multiple events in Olympic conagra canada swimming, soaps can vie in the most Emmy categories.) Regardless, the four most-nommed programs are serial dramas that have been running for at least a quarter-century: ABC’s 52-year-old  General Hospital scooped 28 noms, followed by CBS’  The Young And The Restless (25) and The Bold And The Beautiful (19) and NBC’s Day Of Our Lives (16). All will compete for Outstanding Daytime Drama. PBS’ Sesame Street ranks fifth with 13.
The hardware will be handed out April 26 on the Warner Bros lot in Burbank, with Pop airing the ceremony live at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT.
